PARTICIPATE

Meaningful roles for every level

Whether you are a curious member of the public, a citizen scientist, a professional researcher, or an engineer — there is a bounded, scientifically useful role for you. We do not gamify dramatic conclusions.

General public

Explore the sky

Browse the all-sky map, read candidate records, and follow the evidence trail from raw observation to current status. No account required.

Open sky view

General public

Read the atlas

Study the candidate atlas. Each record includes the full evidence chain, natural-source tests, interference rejection, and replication status.

Citizen scientist

Reproduce an analysis

Download a versioned dataset and analysis configuration. Run the pipeline yourself and compare your results to the published output.

Coming in Phase 1

Citizen scientist

Join a research challenge

When announced, research challenges provide a bounded dataset, a specific question, and a submission format. Results are reviewed and published.

No active challenges

Engineer / developer

Build an archive adapter

Write a connector for a public astronomical archive. Adapters must declare rights, license, coverage, and provenance fields. SDK in Phase 1.

Engineer / developer

Contribute to the platform

The platform codebase will be open-sourced in Phase 1. Contributions to the sky view, analysis pipeline, and adapter SDK are welcome.

Coming in Phase 1

Professional researcher

Submit an observation

Submit a provenance-rich observation or dataset for inclusion in the atlas. Submissions are reviewed before publication. Full provenance required.

WHAT WE VALUE

We do not gamify dramatic conclusions

Reward rigor, not drama

We do not reward dramatic conclusions. We reward careful methodology, honest uncertainty, and reproducible results.

Reproducibility first

Every analysis is versioned and documented. Independent replication is required before any candidate advances in status.

Publish corrections

Errors and retractions are published with the same prominence as original findings. Correction is a feature, not a failure.

Negative results count

A careful non-detection is a scientific contribution. Coverage maps and sensitivity estimates are published alongside candidate records.
